This program shows parents how to build a foundation that is solid enough to weather the stress of adolescents in their struggle to adulthood. Parents learn how to write their own family standards and hold "Family Standards Meetings" that promote communication within the family. Other topics include: suicide and secrets; the big three in substance abuse; reasons for the growth of gangs; trust; the connection between new freedoms and responsibilities; the short-circuit nature of adolescent emotions and how to cope with it.
