The
Total Quality School Process®
The Process
The Total
Quality School Process®
is a focused plan for continuous school improvement that is individualized
to meet the needs of your school or district. Based on W. Edwards Demings
"Total Quality Management" concepts and Ron Edmonds
"Effective Schools Model," T.Q.S.P.®
involves the whole school community in all aspects of improvement. The
goal throughout the process is to become an ever-improving school that
meets and exceeds the learning needs of its children and adults.
Phase I: Training in
the Principles of Total Quality Schools
Establish a foundation for improvement
by learning the principles of total quality and the principles of effective
schools. Learn how these principles can be directly applied to school
improvement.
Phase II: Needs Assessment
and Strategic Planning
Develop a systematic action plan
for an effective school improvement process. Utilize perception surveys
designed to identify the strengths and weaknesses within a school and
to establish baseline data for school improvement planning.
Phase III: Implementing
the School Improvement Plan
Begin an individualized training
program that aligns with the goals established in the school improvement
plan.
Phase IV: Evaluation
The T.Q.S.P.®
Improvement Evaluation Process applies to nearly any form of school
improvement. A National School Services®
evaluation specialist will visit each school to review and document
the level of progress achieved.
